The conclusions of the experts did not make it possible on Friday to determine whether the campaign of forced contraception of Inuit women, between 1960 and 1990 by Denmark, could be described as "genocide". Greenland has announced plans to establish a reconciliation commission led by Denmark. In total, more than 4,000 Greenlandic women were given an IUD, the vast majority without their consent or that of their parents if they were minors.Les conclusions des experts n'ont pas permis vendredi de déterminer si la campagne de contraception forcée d'Inuites, entre 1960 et 1990 par le Danemark, pouvait être qualifiée de "génocide". Le Groenland a annoncé vouloir créer une commission de réconciliation menée par le Danemark. Au total, plus de 4 000 Groenlandaises se sont vu poser un stérilet, en grande majorité sans leur consentement ou celui de leurs parents si elles étaient mineures.
