Immigration is at the heart of Sweden's parliamentary campaign

Three days before the parliamentary elections in Sweden, a subject is at the heart of the campaign: immigration. Ten years ago, Sweden was one of the most open European countries for immigration. Since then, the country has made a dramatic shift. The government claims a more than 60% increase in expulsions of migrants since coming to power in 2022.A turn largely carried by the Sweden Democrats, the anti-immigration far right. Second in the voting intentions a few days before the legislative elections, they have supported the government for four years. But this time, they want to enter the government, and the right opens the door to them in case of victory.
